Amazing learning! I use mark bell's sling shot to keep my elbows tucked and use it for my heavy sets. It has saved my shoulders from permanent damage. Currently I bench 365 raw and 415 with the slingshot at 47 years young.

Ok, I have small hands, so suicide grip is for me. I dont have bear paws like you. I also roll my wrist back, to get my forearm into the movement, since this is a power movement, not a bodybuilding move. The elbow placement determines that. You said, elbows out is for chest, right…bodybuilding. Elbows in, power. i dont use a lift off either, fucks up my rhythm
Julius you have the hands of a Rembrandt or Michelangelo. I bet you have great great proprioception, you know by feel exactly what is happening.
Suicide grip puts the bar directly in line with the Skelton structure of the arm. Takes wrist deflection out of the equation. I bench suicide grip and I have noticed elbow pain so Julius may be on to something concerning tightness in the forearm being better than not.
